CFAMFT’s Generation-to-Generation Scholarship $1500 Prize

Whether one is educated in marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or social work, it is important to conceptualize client concerns in a systems context.

“The Generation-to-Generation Student Scholarship: Nurturing Professional Excellence Scholarship” was named for Gery J. Woltering to memorialize his legacy of personal warmth and professional mentoring. His legacy continues through this scholarship to promote CFAMFT’s passionate interest in and firm commitment to honoring the past by encouraging the future of Marriage & Family Therapy.

Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time MFT, MHC, or CSW graduate program and be a current CFAMFT member in good standing. Membership Scholarships are available to students in need.

Essay Prompt

Understanding yourself and your place in various systems is an important part of graduate training in family and relationship counseling. In 500 words or less share your thoughts on how this self-awareness can impact the therapeutic process.
